Joseph
Jeremiah 29:11
In the story of Joseph we are reminded that we are God's and everything we have is His. All our "stuff" has been loaned to us by God and should be used to honor Him. Trust Him, and think how can we honor Him today?

Activities
Coin Cross Craft
Materials
Two wood crafts stick or something similar
Glue
A dozen pennies
Four nickels
In Action
Begin the activity by reviewing the story. Challenge the children to see where Jesus’ example is in Joseph. Break one of the craft sticks in half. The horizontal cross-stick does not need to be as long as the base/vertical stick. Cross the two wooden sticks over each other to create the cross. Use some glue to secure the pieces of wood together. Once the wood pieces are dry, apply a layer of pennies. Use craft glue to glue the pennies to the wood in a single layer. Add additional layers of pennies to cover any bare spots and create some texture to the piece. Finish the cross by applying glue to the nickels and pressing them to the four points of the cross.
Grateful Name Card
Materials
Paper
Marker and Crayons
In Action
One way to move from feeling down to being up, is to focus on things you are grateful for. Have each child write their name down the page vertically. Then brainstorm things your child could be thankful for, that start with each letter of their name. Once complete, decorate with illustrations or patterns.
